I’m giving this such a low rating for two reasons: 1. shock factor, and 2. my experience. About 3 years ago I bought a masturbation sleeve that I’ve really enjoyed using, but the thing’s starting to fall apart, and I decided to get a new one. I’ve only read great things about fleshlights, and after browsing around for a while, I decided to get one of the ‘Fleshlight Girls’, specifically, Paris. I chose this one because I’ve read that the Lotus insert is fantastic, and Paris because…she’s hot.

My experience may be atypical, but I wasn’t at all satisfied with the Fleshlight. First off, the thing is very bulky, too much so in my opinion. When I first opened the box it was shipped in (I bought it from an online retailer), my first thought was “damn, this thing is huge!” It came in a large aluminum canister, about a foot tall with a 4” diameter. I was worried. Opening the canister, I found that the fleshlight was indeed huge. Too huge.

I am a 22-year old virgin who is not at all well-endowed, about 4.5” erect (self-measured), and maybe 1.25” in diameter. Feel free to flame me, but remember, I’m at a genetic disadvantage here; not much I can do about it. Major bummer. Now, have a look at cut-out diagram of the Lotus insert and read on. My ‘thing’ wasn’t long enough to reach into the ‘pleasure chambers’ (I think that’s what they’re called), so I just felt that initial tightness, and then a bit of looseness. That’s it. It really did nothing for me; it was just a hole, that was somewhat tight. If you haven’t got a long one (and a somewhat thick one at that), then you may end up just as disappointed and unsatisfied as I was, so be careful.

The fact that it was in a hard plastic case took a lot of the sensation out of it. I’m used to using either my hand or the sleeve I’d bought previously, and I wasn’t able to adjust the pressure with my hand or bend it around and such. The sleeve I’d used before was far better in this respect: it was quite pliable, which allowed me to add a little variety to my sessions. The ‘skin’ may not have been as advanced in my old sleeve, but it felt a whole hell of a lot better. As for texture, it had tons of little ribs that just felt great to rub against; the sensations were fantastic. I felt none of that with the Fleshlight. If you’re wondering what that previous sleeve was, it’s a Jessica Drake ‘realistic what-have-you’ that I bought when I was infatuated with her (for about 2 months, really).

I’m complaining online because there’s nothing I can really do at this point. You just can’t use a sex toy and then expect a retailer to take it back. The folks at Fleshlight don’t have a satisfaction guarantee, so it looks like I wouldn’t get any sort of compensation or even consolation from the people who made this product. That’s $80 (well, plus tax) that I’ll never get back, and that’s just really annoying. To make matters worse, it seems that I won’t be able to register on the Fleshlight Girls website, since I did not order direct from the manufacturer. Bummer.

I may have just chosen the wrong sleeve, but this whole experience was a huge let-down for me. I’ll try and spread word of my experience, so I can keep others from facing this kind of crushing disappointment. So, if you’re thinking about buying one of these, make sure you consider your physical limitations. It can be a real pain in the ass.

to dissatisfied customer: you can increase the suction level on your FL by screwing on tight the smaller cap at the end of the canal.

If after that you still don’t like it, I might recommend the black orchid masturbator from calExotics. Very easy to use, much smaller, fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. I haven’t used one of these before, but I saw an ad for them online and since I was curious I found a few different models for sale at an adult store. I randomly chose a Raven Riley one and bought it.

I must say, I’m just a little larger than dissatisfied customer at about 6″ and I don’t know how large around, but I was astounded at how tight and realistic feeling the lotus is. In my opinion, this does a very good job of simulating the feel of the real internal canal.

In my opinion, the feeling of the lotus insert best simulates the feel of doing my wife “doggy style”. When I have my wife up like that, there is also an initial tightness that is very similar to this insert. I don’t know why this is, but it does feel different than missionary, and to me is more intense. It is probably why it is the favorite position of many couples.

As you work the lotus up and down your shaft, the opening tightness feels like a soft ring sliding up and down along it, adding intensity, all while the texture inside feels like it’s trying to milk you. Just as doing it doggy style. With the lotus, you’ll feel your head hitting the inverted node, giving even more stimulation with every thrust! It feels as if there is a slight surge of tightness just as your head hits it, adding to the feeling that it’s trying to milk it out of you as fast as possible.

If you tighten the cap at the end, I’ve found that it adds to the firmness of the milking sensation. The texture inside of the lotus firms up and as you’re stroking, there is more intensity. It is as if a real woman is tightening up down there and is trying to get you to shoot faster.

All in all, this was a very intense session, very satisfying, and probably as real as you can get. My next project is to try and adapt this thing to my power screwdriver.
